The little details company was born out of a wedding day panic. You know the type of morning when everything is going wrong, the bride can’t know, and her friends jump in to save the day? Yes that. I (Kate) was one of those friends and as a big fan of weddings, decided that no friend or family member (and certainly no bride or groom) should have to undergo such stress when it should be a celebration. So, way back when in 2004 I rocked up at a wedding show with eight chair covers and sashes, one centrepiece and a passion for style. Little did I know that I would be booked that day for a wedding that was the weekend after, and the business would go from strength to strength.
I later made the move from Hampshire to Northamptonshire in 2012 (funny what love makes you do!) and met Katie in our day jobs working in the event industry. We worked well together, complimented each other’s strengths, and found we had the same big ideas about wedding venue perfection (although Katie is more of a faffer than me!) we decided to team up to be able to bring the little details company to Northamptonshire whilst still growing it in Hampshire.
The little details company is a real family business, with our husbands often pitching in when their engineering and mechanical design strengths are needed, and our children being taught a positive work ethic… although they aren’t quite trusted to tie bows yet, but they have worked out they could earn some serious cash!
